In-House Rules

In order to ensure all guests staying at Abercorn House are satisfied with their stay, the following in-house rules apply,  to make sure no guest causes the dissatisfaction of other guests. Abercorn House may alter these conditions at any time.

  • Check-in time begins at 1 p.m.GMT and check-out time finishes at 11 a.m GMT.
  • Guests must check out by 11 a.m. on the last day of their stay unless it is arranged otherwise.
  • Guests aged under 18 must stay in a private room (not a shared dorm) and must be accompanied by an adult aged over 18. Guests aged 16-18 who are not accompanied by an adult would require written permission from the parents and another form of ID. Infants aged under 2 years of age can stay in private rooms only free of charge, using existing beds.
  • If you wish to extend your stay, please book online or visit reception. An extension of your stay cannot be guaranteed if availability has already been sold out, so we advise to try to extend your stay as early as possible to avoid disappointment.
  • Guests must check out by 11 a.m. on the last day of their stay unless it is arranged otherwise. If this time limit is exceeded the guest shall be charged a Late Check Out Fee.
  • Visitors are not allowed to visit.
  • The night silence ought to be followed from 10 p.m. until 9 a.m.
  • Abercorn House has the right to refuse providing services:
  •         to guests who breach the rules and regulations
  •         to drunk or aggressive guests
  •         to guests who do not have any valid ID card or passport
  • In case of violation of the regulations, especially where this is resulting in complaints from other guests and the publishing of bad reviews by other guests, we reserve the right to remove the guest causing these issues from the accommodation without any refund, and permanently exclude the guest.
  • We offer a free luggage storage service upon request.
  • Guests hold material responsibility for any loss or damage to Abercorn House property caused by themselves, their guests, or any person they are responsible for.
  • Smoking is not allowed on the premises. If one breaches the smoking ban, Abercorn management are entitled to charge £60 per incident.
  • Guests are not allowed to drink alcohol in their room.
  • For health and safety reasons guests are not allowed to use sleeping bags.
  • We do not allow the presence of pets / animals.
  • Electric or gas appliances (immersion heaters, gas stoves, kettle, etc.) cannot be used inside the room.
  • Staff may check the room at any moment of guest’s stay if there is any suspicion of breaking the in-house rules.
  • Every time a guest leaves their private room they ought to check that the door to the room is locked and leave the key at reception. Any lost key will be charged according to the price list.
  • After using the shared kitchen, it should be left in a clean and usable state for other guests. Rooms should be left in suitable condition to allow the cleaning of the room by cleaning staff.
  • In case of any objections to the quality of services provided, the guest is kindly requested to report them as soon as possible.
  • Guests must communicate with staff and other guests in a courteous and respectful manner.
  • We would like to do all we can to ensure you have a wonderful stay at Abercorn House. If you need further assistance we recommend you visit reception. If you have any complaints of any kind these need to be reported via our website feedback form or to reception during office hours (9 am to 5.30 pm Monday to Friday).
